When the design matters, experience counts!

With over 1,400 control rooms of experience, nobody has our experience designing critical space! Utilizing our unique methodology within the operations center, we work in close coordination with architectural, electrical and technology teams to assure a totally integrated solution. You need more than a space planner to plan your control room. You need an expert.

The Design Matters philosophy is simple. We understand that most operations centers function fairly well under normal circumstances. However, in crisis mode your control room must function at peak efficiency. You cannot afford to have indecision, poor decisions or miscommunication when accuracy counts the most. Ergonomics (Human-Machine Interface), operator interaction, acoustics, lighting, traffic patterns all play a part in ensuring that a control room functions as it should, when it should.

We take into account the current operation of your room, where it came from and where you want it to be in the future. We spend time with your architect/design team, operators, supervisors, technical staff etc… to make sure that everyone has input into the design.

Our ‘interviews’ are conducted in a format that invites discussion and interaction between all parties. In other words, we help our clients define their own criteria for their control room. Based on the answers and feedback we get, combined with our own vast experience, we design the most efficient control room possible.
